hello everyone ⸜( ´ ꒳ ` )⸝ i've been reading a lot of webtoons and manga over summer break, and thought i'd share them! i mostly read romance, but have been getting into stuff w more action/horror :3 i'll be reviewing them and saying my fav things about them!! (no spoilers ofc)
romance: horimiya, skip & loafer, and sweat & soap.
i read horimiya a couple months ago and LOVED it. the story was so cute, the artstyle was too, and the character development was 10/10. i wanna watch the anime but don't have anywhere to watch it on (╥﹏╥). i wish there was more to the story as well. </3
next, i read sweat & soap. i thought it was pretty cute, although the premise is more than a bit odd. despite that, i liked how the characters interacted and grew! (*°▽°*) it was a nice break from the regular high school romance manga i read.
i'm currently reading skip & loafer. it's so so good. the only thing that's come close to horimiya imo. the characters feel realistic and relatable, and the artstyle is soooo cute!! it's also pretty funny. i like how the background characters get more development in this one. i'll be so sad when i finish it :(
action: chainsaw man and daytime in the bunker.
chainsaw man... bro @_@ i honestly liked the artstyle a lot, fujimoto's work is always visually pleasing! and i really liked denji and power as characters, but it was so fast-paced that other characters' plot points didn't make me surprised or sad or anything b/c of how time i had w them. (＞﹏＜) arc 2 was a lot better imo, the characters were much more interesting. in the end, i got spoiled for the ending... and it was so bad i just gave up halfway thru arc 2. it was just terrible. (」゜ロ゜)」
daytime in the bunker was pretty good. usually horror stuff makes me a lil paranoid but it didn't scare me at all! i liked getting to know the characters and am interested in seeing how this webtoon goes! (°▽°)/
slice of life: it'll be ok, plus one, look back, flying witch, and little hollow cafe.
it'll be ok honestly worried the fuh out of me as someone with similar issues. i ended up getting it checked out and was fine lol. ( ´ ▿ ` ) honestly, it was kinda depressing for a webtoon labeled as "slice of life," but it was very compelling to read.
i'm still reading plus one, but i find it to be sooo cute!! it kinda gave me baby fever but also opened my eyes to the things i could face as a mother. (´ᵔ⤙ᵔ`) the chibi artstyle is really cute as well.
look back was so so so so good. like it genuinely motivated me to draw more and work hard in everything. i loved the artstyle and i loved the characters and i loved the plot. ヽ(・∀・)ﾉ everything about it was a 10/10. genuinely one of my favorite one-shots of all time. i wish it was a series or an anime. i watched the movie as well and it was just as good. i can't recommend it more. (╥__╥)
i also read flying witch! it was pretty cute, i might watch the anime. witch stories always pull me in for some reason, but i honestly found it to be a bit boring at times.
i'm currently reading little hollow cafe. the artstyle and colors are super cute!! it seems pretty cozy so far, can't wait to read more of it :D

i read this wasn't in my adoption plan! a couple months ago & honestly haven't checked back for an update yet. it was super good, the mc is so cute and smart and likable. it was my first time reading a historical-style webtoon and i liked it surprisingly well. i've gotta check back ngl... (⌒_⌒;)
re: trailer trash was a webtoon i read at the start of the summer, and i honestly really liked it. it was my first time reading a reincarnation-plot work and it pulled me in for more. (ᵔ.ᵔ) the main character's growth throughout the story was so nice to see. it was also very motivating for me to kinda get my life together, lol.
fantasy: witch hat atelier, hooky
witch hat atelier is beautifully drawn, the characters are funny and cute, and the storyline and worldbuilding were clearly well thought-out. the action scenes got a lil boring after some time, which led to me skipping them. i loved it sm, but the website got blocked for me so i can no longer read :( waitng for the day i can buy it.
my brother got the physical copies of hooky, which i thought was sooo cute!! the plot moved pretty fast and i wish there was more slice of lifey fun times w the characters, but i always say that LOL. (￣ω￣) the romance was sooo cutie, and the artstyle/coloring was cuter! the plot twists were unexpected (would say the same ab chainsaw man, but i got spoiled for everything...) and the ending was satisfying. ＼(>▽<)／would love to see more works from the same world!
