book reviews - a brief commentary

well, that was surely an experience! I especially loved the way it was written; I couldn't take my eyes off the pages, which I devoured! not many books are able to capture you like that and hold your attention until the very last word. it's imbued with sadness and melancholy, the same feeling as listening to cars speeding down the road in the middle of a summer night, when everything else is dead silent, and realizing for the first time as a eight-years-old that inside each car there's someone living a completely different life than yours, someone that you'll never get to meet. there were many controversial elements and the protagonist slept with far more people than I coul've imagined, lol. I really appreciated the way the thin line between life and death was described, along with the depressing and opressing feeling of loneliness; plus the way it dealt with mental illinesses and how those can affect relationships. would reccomend.
