Did you crash out on him? Or is he always just like that? Lots of possibilities.
I have calmly expressed my needs to him and he continuously refuse to change and he tells me not to care about his feelings because it's not worth worrying about... He's like this because of his mother he's in a really toxic home environment and I feel so bad so I give him so many chances... I've shown him nothing but love and understanding I've put all my energy into this relationship and now there's not much I know how to do...
If you're trying to stay in the relationship with him, I would personally recommend a more tough love route. If he wants to have a functioning relationship with you, he's going to have to communicate properly, and if he won't then there's no reason for the relationship to exist. An abusive relationship is awful, yes, but I cannot (in good conscience) tell you to stay in a relationship where he is not meeting you halfway.
