I hate how some people dumb down an addiction to caffeine to "Urghhh can't live without my starbies!!!" and make anyone who says they have an addiction to caffeine look bad. A lot of them do trends on TikTok meant to be about life altering addictions and make it about them loving Starbucks. It's just annoying because each time I say I have a caffeine addiction I feel grouped in with them when I know my addiction isn't as bad as other forms as addictions.
A lot of people think caffeine addictions aren't harmful but mine genuinely does harm me. I need a can of Pepsi or some other form of caffeine the moment I wake up every day and if I don't drink any I get a really bad headache. Even if I try to quit and take Ibuprofen instead of drinking caffeine, I just end up either still having a headache or relying on Ibuprofen daily to keep me from having a headache.
Right now, I have a really bad headache because I just didn't want to drink caffeine this morning. A lot of sodas taste gross to me in the morning especially after brushing my teeth. It's also just not good for my health in general and worsens my iron issues. I just want to stop drinking caffeine, but I can't just stop unfortunately.
