𝄞⨾💿Classic Teenage Insecurity✮˚.⋆

I’ve said this many times alreadyyy buttt essentially I moved to a new area of my city a few months ago, like maybe april or may. At first things were just sort of whatever, I still attended the same school and everything worked out. I knew that for senior year I’d be forced to change schools but I kept it buried at the back of my mind. 

It’s the 27th of August and I recently got back from collecting my agenda, schedule, and taking my photo. I haven’t felt this level of nauseous dread in forever. I wasn’t even this nervous for 7th grade for christ’s sake. 

For one the school is at least 3x my old school’s size. Probably enough classes and hallways to make a man dizzy. Secondly, I have zero friends and my future hangs in the balance still, so who knows if I’ll make any meaningful ones. I only have two back where I lived so if I can’t at least befriend one of two people I’ll end up ... .alone basically. Yay. Thirdly, I’ve arrived at this school for senior year. In other words, I have years of relations, drama, and status quos to worry about. Most people have established friend groups and circles. Every friend group I’ve ever been in has ended abruptly on bad terms and I just want people who I can stay friends with long-term. Is that so much to ask? Longevity?

All I’m thinking is : “Oh so this is Teenage Insecurity™.

I feel like a dork in 7th grade, not a senior. Every other senior I saw seemed so lax and seld assured and I know it’s not that simple but it’s just how I feel.

That’s it, thank you guys for reading. I’m comforted knowing a lot of youtubers and moots I follow are experiencing similar things.
