In your situation, I would reccomend that you go around asking the people in the Assembly who do meet your criteria and creating connections with and through them. You could create your own little group, although that would take some work. Social media is a good way to meet those in your area as well, surprisingly the most effective of so being facebook groups or instagram pages.


Judging by the Hof worship mention I'm assuming you are a Norse Pagan. You would likely be in luck as a lot of more Norse Pagans have those similar beliefs and practices than other pagan groups.

if your ancestors came from Europe. thats it. We arent nordicists who split hairs.

i dont know a lot about paganism in general, or the folk assembly! i dont expect you to write out everything to me  because i could try to learn about the basics but other religions are fascinating to me. especially since this one seems so out of my own understanding

Well there are quite a few competing streams of thought in paganism and so it is somewhat hard to really know where to start explaining it. 

I am what you would call Folkish or Volkisch. Essentially believing that Pagan faith is tied to Ethnos or Race. Similar to judaism and some native faiths, the practice is closed to anyone outside the folk, or kinship network. I.E white europeans. 

There are many "flavors" of paganism but all of them share a common theological ancestral faith in Aryan (Indo-European) practice. 

The two most common are Norse/Germanic/Anglo-Saxon Paganism also known as Heathenry, Asatru, or Odinism.
and the other is Greco-Roman Paganism.

Greek gods especially have become quite popular but sadly not properly worshiped as cringy teens and online ""witches"" from tiktok project their personalities and fanfiction onto astral primordial beings. 

There are also three distinct pathways of pagan faith
Neopaganism
Revivialism
and Reconstructionism

Neopaganism is in the same camp as the tiktok witches. its larp and roleplay. this is where you find garbage like Wicca and the occult ecclectic witchcraft and stuff. (Pagans burned as many witches as the Christians did... so we dont like these people either lol)

Reconstructionism is the other extreme it is rigid and scientific examination and duplication of ancient practices found in literature sculpture history archaeology and preserved knowledge. It can be quite stuffy and intense and people argue all the time if x or y practice is actually proper or not.

Lastly is Revivalism a somewhat middle ground where we take the lessons of the past from the reconstructionists but attempt to make new traditions and fill in the gaps we lost with imaginative and appropriate behavior and practice. It is not eclectic and neopagan but it is not academic reconstruction it lies somewhere in between.

So with all this being said the Asatru Folk Assembly is a Revivalist, Germanic, Folkish, Pagan organization. one of many.
