holy shit i love your art (drawn kind) and the way u write. instantly ran over to see if u had catcher in the rye in ur fav books ;p
thank you dude!! i love catcher.. i bought a red hunters cap with the little peak last week LOL. ur art is crazy beautiful, i love painterly work like that. im also currently working through trainspotting :-)
ouu youre too kind thank you!! and i can see the resemblance ur writing is so personable . also trainspotting rocks it's one i definitely prefer the book over the movie for and i think it gets better as it goes on. huge sucker for anything with written regional accents (done well ofc) sometimes i feel like im melting into the protagonist of a novel and regional accents rly hammer home a difference between my own internal voice and the characters' . (does that make sense?) + what are u making of it so far?
i'm honestly having a lot of fun with trainspotting. fittingly i started reading it while i was on the train LOLLL. managed to find an audio reading of it somewhere online and listened to that a bit too. the movement was making me nauseousssss. on that note, love regional accents. genuinely so fun to read, presents a fun challenge. i read a lot of junk set in nyc, mid-century usually, so a lot of writers (esp if ur looking into the transgressive stuff like last exit to brooklyn) write in the regional accent. it's HILARIOUS. but it rlly adds to the experience :-9
