A friend of mine recommended this to me a few years back. I never fully got into the songs of this specific artist, but listening to it now, I might just consider it. The intro is extremely pleasant... even if the lyrics are quite saddening :(ย

It's usually different from the songs I usually consider sad. Suppose it's that this song sounds like a memory that's slowly fading, the color reminds me of golden dust,ย  in a way?ย

----

The beginning proposes the mindset of a socially anxious person who avoids plausible responsibilities that might weigh on them, and the lyrics about "vine" stuff probably implies how the singer had met this said person--and their problems probably weighed on him as they spent time together, but it eventually healed as he kept staying with them.ย

However, he then gives his body up, and the next remaining lyrics represent a bit of a co dependent relationship between the two. He starts talking about "inserting the blade", I think it's meant to represent how the relationship is still hurting him, but he clings anyway because he refers to their presence as a "light" and "home".ย

The otherย  parts I don't exactly understand . I know that at the end he talks about not being able to tie an end of the chain, probably expressing how the relationship still isn't exactly stabilized, especially since he mentions how he won't "keep them for too long".ย

Aw man :( what a sad song, but beautiful nonetheless

This is a nice one! I like the backing instrumentals a lot here, the spacey and melancholic piano at the beginning that become more of a pulse-like pattern as it continues. Also omg i love this blog layout!! how did you get it like that?
