Hello, and welcome to Omnium's Song OTD!
We didn't play yesterday, so i'm really hoping on playing today instead :) Y'know I had a really weird dream last night, I was in like a weird sorta jail thing for stealing orange energy. Pretty weird. Anyway!!
On with the show!
Today's song is The Place Where He Inserted the Blade, a very emotional song. It makes me think of a handful of characters and even myself. To me, its a song about breakup, and the difficulty of getting over someone you loved dearly. I'm not entirely sure exactly what they had in mind when making it, but I like this interpretation. There are many, of course. Try to think of your own :)
I am someone who hasn't had a squeaky clean kinda life. My experiences and what I've been through lead me to believe that what I deserve is little. For me it's always been hard to leave when I realize I am being treated unfairly, because I assumed it was all I was good for. I still feel the urge to return to terrible people, because of the strong emotional attachment I had for them. But, it always gets better. It's hard to put yourself first, especially when you really value someone. It's hard, but not impossible.
There will always be a light at the end of a tunnel, no matter how long it takes to walk there. You may trip on potholes or even consider turning around once or twice, but the light will always be there. I like to think I found the end of the tunnel. "The one" or other cliche titles. But I still had to work for it. And I wont say I didn't double back in that tunnel a handful of times. I wont lie and say I'm infallible. I'm just as human as everyone else. But I got out of the tunnel. Atleast, this tunnel.
Remember your own self worth. You're important too.
Here's a drawing of my character with the light at the end of his tunnel <3

Apologies for the more serious post today, followed immediately by gay cats LOL. The two of them mean a great deal to me. I really really like this song, and it fits pretty well with Karo.
Regardless, do have a nice day :) Thank you for reading <33

A friend of mine recommended this to me a few years back. I never fully got into the songs of this specific artist, but listening to it now, I might just consider it. The intro is extremely pleasant... even if the lyrics are quite saddening :(
It's usually different from the songs I usually consider sad. Suppose it's that this song sounds like a memory that's slowly fading, the color reminds me of golden dust, in a way?

The beginning proposes the mindset of a socially anxious person who avoids plausible responsibilities that might weigh on them, and the lyrics about "vine" stuff probably implies how the singer had met this said person--and their problems probably weighed on him as they spent time together, but it eventually healed as he kept staying with them.
However, he then gives his body up, and the next remaining lyrics represent a bit of a co dependent relationship between the two. He starts talking about "inserting the blade", I think it's meant to represent how the relationship is still hurting him, but he clings anyway because he refers to their presence as a "light" and "home".
The other parts I don't exactly understand . I know that at the end he talks about not being able to tie an end of the chain, probably expressing how the relationship still isn't exactly stabilized, especially since he mentions how he won't "keep them for too long".
Aw man :( what a sad song, but beautiful nonetheless

This is a nice one! I like the backing instrumentals a lot here, the spacey and melancholic piano at the beginning that become more of a pulse-like pattern as it continues. Also omg i love this blog layout!! how did you get it like that?
