I really relate to what u said about music saying the things we can't put into words. Sometimes a single chord progression or a weird guitar tone can express a feeling better than an entire conversation. That's one of the reasons I love music so much too Since u asked for recommendations, I think u might enjoy Björk. Every album feels like its own universe, and she has this incredible ability to turn emotions into sound. If u like music that constantly surprises u, she's definitely worth exploring I'd also recommend Black Country, New Road. Their music is so raw and emotional, and it feels like every song is telling a deeply personal story. Ants From Up There is one of my favorite albums ever And finally, Cameron Winter. His songwriting feels incredibly intimate, almost like reading pages from someone's journal. There's something so honest and vulnerable about his music that really stuck with me I'd love to hear what you think if you end up listening to any of them! Also, don't stop making those little scraps of music. Even if u never finish them, they're still moments where u turned your feelings into sound, and I think there's something really beautiful about that<33 |

I ADORE BJORK AND CAMERON WINTER! (I'll most definitely listen to Black Country , New Road too!)
It also makes me very happy people get me. A violin can gracefully make a noise that resembles something of a scream in my head (lol it sounds so edgy i wanna cringe!) , a hit of the drums can emphazize something i want to stand out , it's (ironically) music to my ears! There's a song i love and i don't know what instrumental they used for a certain part , but it really makes me feel as though i'm gasping for air during a really hard sob (xd in a good way)
Conclusion: I am so so SO grateful for your music recommendations and the fact you wrote to me , and being able to know others feel the same way as me makes me feel way less weird ahaha :DD
edit : FORGOT TO MENTION! Thanks for your encouragment too on the small bits i do make! I like making them a lot , i sometimes use them in my tweening edits , although they're not longer than 20 seconds , and i never post em.

I love the way u describe music because it's exactly what makes it so special. Sometimes an instrument isn't just "playing a melody", it can feel like a voice, a breath, a memory, or even an emotion that words can't quite capture. I don't think it's edgy at all; I think it's beautiful that you experience music that vividly.
And I'm really happy my recommendations resonated with you! I have a feeling you're going to love BC,NR too, they're one of those bands that seem to paint emotions instead of simply playing songs.
Also, please don't call yourself weird for hearing music this way. I think there are a lot more people like us than it seems. Some people listen to songs, and others almost live inside them.
And about your own music... I honestly hope you keep making it. Even if they're only 20-second snippets right now, every artist starts somewhere, and the fact that you enjoy creating is the most important part. I'd love to hear them one day if you ever decide to share them.
