not an english major or anything but, to me, the only huge con with wordiness is that fluff can obscure the point you're trying to get at. ultimately though, it all depends on your intentionality yk? if you enjoy thorough prose then theres no problem with incorporating that into your own writing. bcuz sometimes casual verbiage isn't enough, I guess its a spectrum lol there's definitely proper guidelines to ensure your writing maintains a fixed structure, yeah, but don't let it limit your creative intent, dorkbag :) |
