omg this is how i feel all the time when writing stories for my ocs. like i want something that no one else has thought of which typically leads to a less enjoyable writing experience cuz i'm trying to be unique. it's why, as a practice, i write generic short stories with common tropes to remind myself that writing can still be fun lol. |

Exactlyyyy, there’s no point in writing a unique and different story if the person writing it isn’t having fun or enjoying it. I think it’s perhaps natural for human beings to put perfection above everything else—even a hobby that’s supposed to help us relax
