When I had my ears pierced, my ears became inflamed and swollen because I was allergic to the metal of the earring, apparently. I could only use hypoallergenic metals. After I switched, the swelling and irritation decreased quickly. But you stated you've had piercings before so that can probably be ruled out. If the earache is coming from within your inner ear, then you should probably see a doctor ASAP. It could be an infection traveling from the piercing to your inner ear, and take it from me, that can result in permanent hearing loss among other issues. Hope you feel better soon. |
