Got both my daith pierced last week, then a day or so after I got my bellybutton too. Now I can’t sleep on my sides or my belly.
I also get ear aches. It’s been a while since I had been last pierced, so I can’t remember if the pains I got are normal or not. I’ll tough it out for a few weeks, and see if there’s any improvement.
But if things go well, I plan on getting others. Was thinking about septum (I had that one done when I was young, but had to take it out because of school), and maybe snakebites. Love bridges too. I’ll have to think it over. But for now, let’s hope nothing gets infected 🤞🏻

When I had my ears pierced, my ears became inflamed and swollen because I was allergic to the metal of the earring, apparently. I could only use hypoallergenic metals. After I switched, the swelling and irritation decreased quickly.
But you stated you've had piercings before so that can probably be ruled out. If the earache is coming from within your inner ear, then you should probably see a doctor ASAP. It could be an infection traveling from the piercing to your inner ear, and take it from me, that can result in permanent hearing loss among other issues.
