Well, yeah I do agree with you on this..... At the end of the day we're just all people and I think we're not higher than than one another. If you admire someone for what they do then that's fine, just don't go beyond that and idolize them and think they can't do wrong and go as far as like you said on this rant. people being higher than one another is just a social construct they came up with roles to indicate who you were in society and what you could bring to the country you're from but anatomically or in the face of judgement (if you're religious) or death, we're all equal nonetheless I do agree with you on the social construct thing @blvkmoon but I mean we're equal because we're human anyways and we'll grow old then face the inevitable. |

3rd blog of yours I reply to, but I feel in the mood for it! I think that idolizing a person/people is a bad thing since their ideas and views can convolute your own personal growth when you're growing, you're prone to develop various views on the world, people or other stuff and form opinions about things you encounter in your life but when you start idolizing people and doing in-depth investigations of what they adhered to and standed by, you get overwhelmed with their views and start questioning if they're whether right or not, if you should think like them or make your own conclusion plus I never got the idea of liking someone you're not in any form of relation THAT MUCH Ty for replying! I like reading ur inputs. A lot of people don't talk about that either. When people are radically idolizing a person they will genuinely believe everything they say is right and it not only strips away their self-respect but it downright hinders their personal growth. You can not grow as a person if every opinion you have is based off of a person you idolize. At that point you aren't even trying to be your own person anymore but rather making a mockery of someone else's character and forcing it on your own. |

Exactly. Majority of those people are suffering from severe mental illness. Stans who go after anyone who doesn't like their idol are not only incredibly parasocial.They also don't necessarily do it because they're a "fan" but they see it as the perfect opportunity and excuse to show their true nature. So they do these awful things like harassing and stalking and think its okay because in their mind they're thinking "well they hate my Idol so it makes sense for me to do this" but in reality their just severely mentally ill and looking for a way to express their negative behaviors on behalf of someone's fame.
