I hate living in Texas too. But at least I don’t live in Dallas. Maybe you could find some fun things around Dallas to explore in the meantime, and hopefully find some cheaper ways to visit the cities you really want to see. I hope you get to experience them someday though.

I have hated where I live before (almost rural Australia ) so I think I understand where you’re coming from. I personally believe that the grass is usually greener on the other side and that change is important for growth. When you get an opportunity to explore, go for it, be young and be free!! I spent a lot of money and worked for like half a year to splurge on my first solo travel and it was worth it.
