I hate living in Texas |Blog #5|

I don’t like living here especially in Dallas everything is so damn far away and it’s making me go insane. I don’t have the privilege of living in an area that’s near one of the dart rail stations either, the closest one is like an hour away via cycling which I am not gonna do with these insane people called drivers.

I also just don’t like the heat. It’s been over 100 degrees everyday here for about 3 weeks and every time I step into my car it feels like an oven. Even at midnight when I finish my shift and step into my car it still feels uncomfortably hot and I park in a parking garage in downtown.

I also just wanna explore more of this country mostly just all the other major cities. Sam Francisco, Seattle, New York, Philadelphia, etc. I’ve always wanted to travel but I don’t have the money for that :/ I’m also just fascinated by cities as a whole. I love cities skylines and not just the part of the game where you place down the big ass skyscrapers but also just making good systems for everything and that carries over to real life aswell. It makes me sad seeing that the public transport of my city is basically four lines that for the southern parts don’t even go that far south into areas like mine or desoto it makes me sad seeing:(

I kinda went into a rant there so uhmmmmm to summarize it if you don’t wanna read all that I just wanna get to explore other big cities and see their skylines at night seeing all the pretty lights all the people that live their lives there makes me feel more connected to the world in a small way.

I hope you’re having an amazing day if you’re this and thank you too if you got this far :D

I have hated where I live before (almost rural Australia :crossbones:) so I think I understand where you’re coming from. I personally believe that the grass is usually greener on the other side and that change is important for growth. When you get an opportunity to explore, go for it, be young and be free!! I spent a lot of money and worked for like half a year to splurge on my first solo travel and it was worth it.
