i can very much relate, my mom always makes faces when i try to talk sbout queer stuff, one time i was just mentioning lesbians and she didn't want my 5yo brother to hear, that was weird. Like ma'am that kid is obsessed with clothes and shoes, he wore your heels when he was like 3, wanted to get his nails painted and plays more with girls than with boys. I think he can handle lesbians. Anyway bro it's gonna get better, my mom yelled at me a lot when she discovered i was trans, i've been trans for almost two years and now she passively accepts it at least. It's just a matter of time. |
Appreciate it bro, hope everythings goin well. Very much agreed with the brother, if kids can learn about straight people then they should be able to learn about gay people as well. Kids will just accept that some people are different to themselves and move on.
My mum yelled at me too haha, and cried. I've known almost my whole life and only told her about a year ago, and yeah I'm just hoping she'll understand eventually. :]
