I've experienced something like this even from family or family friends. Once I put some music on in the car for my aunt, it was alt rock music, and she asked why do I listen to white people music. Which I didn't know how to respond to some nonsense like that so I just turned the music off

I've also gotten, "You speak so clearly/well!" Like how am I supposed to sound? Incoherent?? It's ridiculous how it always comes from other black people as well. Why are people still perpetuating these kinda things in our own communities :/
