College graduate here, you do not need to have it figured out just yet. Some people are able to know right away what they want to do for the rest of their life, and others they don't until later. 

There is no time limit or falling behind, everyone goes to the beat of their own drum. Everyone has their own path that they are taking. Everyone has their own will of what they are destined to do in life and when they will do. 

Here's my recommendation: since financial aid has been cut, you're worried about your mom paying, and you're unsure of what you want to do in life, I HEAVILY recommend going to community college. If you go to community college it will be significantly cheaper, and is much more manageable. There you can also try different major classes and find something that you like. 

Once you figure out what you want to do, a majority (80% or more) of colleges take credits from community college. This will make it cheaper in the long run because then you're only taking classes for your major and will get done at the college sooner. 

I'm not saying do that specifically, but it is an option that may help you if you have those factors to worry about. Of course, talk to your family, school counselor, and what is best for you.
