sounds like ur mum may have NPD, not BPD from the initial look like mine.. but anyway I think I have a possible solution. the only way im ever able to get something off my mum is doing chores, she refuses to let me unless it benefits her. maybe ask if you can do something, then go out with him in return and if that doesn't work, I would just pester her, if she gets annoyed enough she might just give up and let you and if none of these work, tell her your going shopping or something then just go out with your boyfriend. the classic teenager move, of course |

I would personally focus on graduating and getting a job to be able to move out of your mom's house. I grew up in a home environment like this and so I understand where you are coming from. Do you have any friends you can live with or rent with once you have graduated? I also wanted to ask, has your mom ever given any reasons for not liking your boyfriend? I am sorry you are going through this. Okay Im not sure if my comment got deleted somehow cuz I cant see it but I'ma just try to remember what I typed I have a friend who has offered it but I honestly am a bit uncomfortable around him and some of the things he says/does (Even though its not intentional) Also he's a guy so.. Idk Id be uncomfortable with that. The only reason my mom doesn't like him is because he used to be close friends with someone who treated me like crap.. But they're no longer friends if anything they hate each other. |

Omg wait 😭 nah cuz that's literally exactly how my mom is except ever since I told her I'm actually not allowed to go out since that's how I have been seeing until now. But Ima figure something out I got to. Honestly, I'm really afraid he's scared or uh idk I'm just paranoid I hope! I am very attached I don't think my heart could take losing him..
Of course I do want him to be happy in the end and I couldn't bear the thought of making him think he's the cause of something Ive done to myself so I wouldn't even attempt.
