as a yumeshipper/selfshipper myself i dont think that shipping yourself with real people is valid, esp if youre an adult and the person youre shipping with is a minor and vice versa. but theres no problems with shipping yourself with a character !!

we all had our cartoon crushes when we were kids, yumeshipping is just a way to embrace that side of urself :33 its fun to imagine yourself with your dream character, and since theyre fictional u can basically do like whatever u want

yumeshipping only becomes a problem if the character is underaged, or if its any kind of darkshipping in general
