Nah, if they want to stay and chase the dragon let em. well, the boss keeps saying: "Want FriendRewind to grow? Share it! <3" so i figured i'd lend a little hand.
Fair point. I just worry that eventually this place will become a victim of it's own popularity and drama someday, honestly. It's a lot easier to ignore that shit here, but at the same time, it just drives all the cool ones away. No likey. by Bill Liam East; ; Report as good as reason #3 is going, there's hardly anything to have to ignore here. when basically nothing happened in that department for the last 4 or 5 years over there - yeah, you're right. but i'd be damn lucky if my comment gets more migrants than it will get replies. i'll check back in a few hours, and i'm sure all the bewildered noobs will push me to the bottom or onto the next page.
Fun fact, I was the first one that I know of that over there that putting page views on your blog is the only thing pushing it to the top, except for the spammers obviously doing it before me. 😂 I'm grateful you have the option of just seeing friend's blogs here. Also fun fact, I was the first one that I know of that knew you could format blog posts. Regardless, it's awesome to see that it's gained traction and people are doing it here. Not to toot my own horn. Toot toot. by Bill Liam East; ; Report yea i never knew about the blog exploit until just recently. had no idea, or just didn't care or both. i formatted my first blog post and it worked, so i prodded everyone in bulletins to subscribe to me and all their other friends, opening up an entire 2nd feed beneath the top 5 bulletins on the home page. i wasn't the first person to format a bulletin there, either but i saw someone do it.. and i just went bonkers. i mean, i had tried everything, had given up and thought blogs were the only way. i finally stumbled upon it poking at a search engine. 100% of the code needs to be in a single line. so i went and blabbed about it all over the place, many picked up on it, what a surprise many were in for bulletin eye candy. i always saw it as a way to make the place more exciting and keep the better users coming back. toot toot! nah you're good, dude. it's not like we ever had any real help on the dev side of things, we stuck together as a community and overcame issues ourselves.
