I've gotta recommend mullets or a shorter haircut with a rat tail. My hair is like a 2C type of wavy & pretty thick. I used to have a mullet for years, sometimes i shaved the sides & other times I let them grow out a little. Imo, shaved sides have a more masculine look than grown out sides. During the summer, I couldn't handle how long & thick my hair was anymore, but I didn't want to lose all my length, so i separated a rat tail & got a very short mullet (it kinda looked like a chelsea cut ngl).

I've been loving this look ngl. The rat tail looks nice braided or loose, it's really alternative either way which I love. So yeah, I recommend those haircuts!
