I absolutely agree that you should make your videos because YOU want to do it! I think that will take a lot of pressure off yourself, and you'll be able to enjoy your hobby without worrying about monetization or engagement. It's HARD being a content creator, especially if you make content about niche or "unpopular" topics. As an artist, whenever I would post original works instead of fanart, those posts would get little to no engagement or traction. But I still made and posted those works because I liked what I made and wanted to share it with whoever happened to see it. I also wanted to keep a record of my skill growth and be able to look back on it someday and say that I was able to learn and grow. I hope you're able to keep doing what you're doing because you love your hobby, and I hope that you do see success in your endeavors, whether that be personal satisfaction or monetization and a community that enjoys your work. Just keep doing what you love! |
