really eloquently put! this is all true. being a younger fan of something older than you is so weird, knowing it had its peak and is now just drifting on like every other fan community. but it is still really fun to be a part of. you say connecting with others by roleplaying on pesterchum makes you feel less like a black sheep, which makes sense. it definitely had to make it feel a lot less like a "dead fandom" and more like a semi-niche community of people who are still relatively active.

the regret towards not getting into it earlier is relatable. it was pretty crazy back in the olden times or at least i assume. thankfully people still cosplay and rp and whatnot but the desire to go back and see the golden age is incredibly real.

also when i first "got into" homestuck i was a poser too!!!!! i made a trollsona with teal blood and fish ears. that doesnt even make sense troll-biology wise. trollology.  trol lol ogy. lol #Lol . ok SORRY. homestuck is such a fun and rich fandom to the point even non fans are fans. because its too good😢😢😢

Soooo truuueeee! I nevver got into Homestuck before because of the infamous fanbase and quite frankly I had no idea wwhat it was even about.

But at the start of my school year I met a neww friend and he is into a lot of things I am as wwell (wwe evven started talking because he noticed my omori drawwings in my notebook lol) but he's especially into Homestuck.

And at first I wwas a bit scared to try to read it because of the freaking EIGHT THOUSAND PAGES that awwaited me. But after some pestering on his part I evventually got into it and havven't regretted my decision evver since (T3R3Z1 COSPL4Y IS ON ITS W4Y >:] )
