The opposite happens to me during the summer but it's just as upsetting. My scars don't tan at all but the skin around them does, so they pop up even more. It is frustrating feeling like everyone is staring at them, but it is what it is; and just like your friend said, at least we're healing. Let this be a reminder to not be so hard on ourselves (っ˶ ˘ ᵕ˘)ˆᵕ ˆ˶ς)
