OMG CONGRATULATIONS (I also finished my undergrad this year) be proud of yourself for achieving something so great and pushing yourself towards success!!

I don't blame you for not doing much when your parents were acting quite childish, don't be to harsh on yourself. Your success is what matters most and if they are being inconsiderate towards your special day then that is fully on them my friend!

First thing forward, congratulations on the graduation :> And ur absolutely right, none of that matters because it was originally your day. I’m sorry your parents spoiled the mood but it’s not your fault for not being more assertive. It’s your parents after all and sometimes It can be hard to defend ourselves against them.

I hope you focus more on the bright side of things and realize that one bad moment at a graduation doesn’t compare to the hard work you put in and your achievements <3

Thank you so much! This has honestly helped me feel a little better and return to a more sensible perspective. You're right. There's no need to let them ruin the sense of achievement, even if they messed up the day for me. I really appreciate the input <:)
