I am a social work major and yeah so many parents do not realize how significant of a role they play in the development of their child and it’s beyond frustrating. Like dude if your kid is acting out you’re most likely at fault in some way? You’re supposed to practice operant conditioning (specifically positive reinforcement) and also set reasonable boundaries. You can’t be an overly permissive parent but can’t be overly authoritarian either, both parenting styles can cause issues. |

no, literally! like, the first mom i was talking about, everyday when she comes and picks him up from school he runs away from her and sometimes will like run into other classrooms and close the doors and stuff. she doesnt scold him, doesnt tell him he cant do that or that he needs to be nice. she almost finds it funny??? again, shes a very nice lady, but she did also tell me once that he was acting up at home and she believed that it mightve been because of how messy the classroom was when she would come to pick him up everyday
(the mess she was talking about was the toys on the floor. which was alot but was only there because we have a few autistic kids in that specific room and they will pour the buckets all over the floor and i have no energy to pick them up 10x times a day). Like, no, it might be because you never tell him no???
