it's proof that we cannot be funding public schools based on how good their test scores are. 1 - they're only gonna use it for sports 2 - if a school is severely struggling and behind, maybe giving them funding AND helping them use it to improve their academic conditions would be a good idea ??? you can't just withhold money from the schools because their tests scores are low: that's the whole reason they are. they don't have to budget to improve their conditions and resources. with the way the economy is right now, our education is only going to go downhill. |

I don't live in America but it's scary how some parents refuse to raise their children properly and force the teachers to deal with them. Teachers aren't supposed to be a second parent to children, they're there to educate them. An iPad can never be a replacement for decent parenting, it just shows how much of a shitty parent you are. I may not be a mother myself, but teaching a child basic manners and interactions isn't hard at all, some people are just lazy nowadays. (Ironic for me to say this, considering I'm not even an adult yet) I'm not even an adult and i agree with you. Its sad that teenagers are pointing this out and the adults arent doing anything. People have gotten lazy, i hate to say this but the millennial's arent making it easy for us and the new gen to grow up properly. We always have to clean up where they didn't want to. Right. test based schools are stupid to me. And those school let them pass on any score anyways. And the money that a school does get, they only provide more tech that doesn't help they're situation

laptops being used for every assignment now is such an issue. we use to only use them for special ones once in a while, now they're required for everything, even to use the restroom. i'm glad some schools are going back to using paper
