An ordinary day

unremarkable in every way

until the trajectory of everything I knew

simply shifted.

We connected

and it wasn't just a meeting of minds

My soul looked at yours

and felt an immediate recognition.

Overnight, the chaos quieted

You became my sanctuary

my absolute best friend

the center of my gravity.

The thought of navigating the rest of this life

without you by my side

is a reality I cannot even fathom now.

I just need you to carry this truth with you

The very second you walked into my world

remains the absolute best day of my life.
