Devastation II - Iron Commanders

"Are the items of Project Miss-Isle weapons, Lieutenant Hartwo?"

"Yes, your honour."

"Alright."

"So, after readying up the items, we loaded them onto specialized trucks and had them taken to Kasimir Hill with an armoured escort."

"Did you stay at Forward Operating Base 6, Lieutenant?"

"No, your honour, I rode in an Humvee up to the nearest gatehouse, me and a few other dudes went up to the highest point and kept talking via radio with Team Kasimir, the guys using the items."

"Nearest gatehouse to..?"

"To F.O.B. 6, your honour."

"Ah."

"We were going to be helping Team Kasimir to designate the targets they were going to hit and we'd document the damages after the targets were hit-"

"Lieutenant Hartwo."

"Yes, your honour?"

"Before you begin explaining the incident, do you swear to speak the truth?"

"...Yes, your honour."

"Then do you agree, by putting your hand to your heart, that, under penalty of perjury and of court-martial, you solemnly swear that you will tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so Gods help you?"

"I swear, your honour."

"Good... Please explain to the inquiry commission what happened on Kasimir Hill, to the best of your abilities."

"Basically, I kept constant radio communication with the guys in Team Kasimir, right?.. According to one of them, the tanks that we mobilized to defend the missile trucks were attacked by both wizard and heavy infantry. He mentioned how one of them initiated it's self-destruct sequence with all crew inside; and also how the Kar troops that attacked them were all wearing plate armour, so his own Personal Defense Weapon couldn't pierce them."

"And afterwards..?"

"Radio silence. One of my colleagues saw him get stabbed and dragged out of his truck, where the Kar troopers ganged up on him."

"Gods..."

"Yea. So, after he died, the rest of the trucks all got captured as well, and the last surviving tank fled, I don't blame the crew; the heavy infantry then vacated. A man who I assumed commanded the attack was led inside of one of the trucks by a nun. Probably one of the wizards that wiped out Kasimir Team."

"What did the two do inside the truck, Lieutenant?"

"I couldn't tell you, but after they got in, the missil-... The item started it's launch sequence, and shortly after exploded."

"This explosion being the one that devastated Neshire, correct?"
