Okay, wait, I have a genuine question because I feel like people reveal so much about themselves without even realizing it π Do you think you can ever truly know someone, or do you only know the version of them they choose to show you? Because I swear, you can know someone for years and still discover a side of them that makes you question everything you thought you knew. And sometimes I think the way people act when they have nothing to gain from you tells you more about them than anything they could ever say. Like, what's an actual unpopular opinion you have about people that you would defend even if everyone in this room disagreed with you? Because I feel like everyone's got one take they KNOW is gonna start an argument π

I do have pretty wild takes myself, but I am often scared to talk about them or bring them up because I know an arguement is going to happen in which I will not win. I will probably agree with them out of sheer force and just to end the arguement.
And, here's the thing: when you discover something that makes you question everything about them, I feel like it's not that they were hiding it, but perhaps they discovered it recently themselves. Humans are very complex, and they change from time to time, these changes can be so big that they sometimes feel like a totally different person. Or perhaps it's a side they don't show often, but not on purpose.
