what i mean by this is essentially like limiting how much information you spill abt yourself like ur beliefs or hobbies to the point where ppl js think you're uninteresting, like you're nothing but a blank piece of paper. its to the point where i outright convince myself sometimes that im js a fucking bore. like there's so many things abt myself i want to talk abt so that way i can make friends but like i also forget that people be judgemental asf sometimes, so its like you're talking passionately abt something you loved for a while and you always have this overwhelming fear in the back of your mind of someone js looking at you weird or like ur dumb or js going "ur rlly that invested in [topic]?" or "holy cornball/yap/larp" and shit like that (ignoring how larp is used nowadays thats a whole 'nother topic 😑) so you're just restricting access i guess.
then again i may js be overexplaining masking idfk, its something i do to myself even over the internet so its like wtf man

I definitely used to relate to this since just like you I have lots of different interests but wouldn’t speak out much since I was worried of ppls negative thoughts. But after a while you come to find out that you’re only hurting your chances of bonding with newer people who like those interests of yours. So I say you shouldn’t care! You should be as out spoken as possible and not reflect on the negativity cause you probably are cool af :D
thanks so much for the kind words it means a lot ^^ trying my best to apply that kind of mindset to myself thru therapy and whatnot but i come to find out its so much easier said than done in certain cases T-T but who knows im still young and got a lot more growing to do lol
