does any body else remember that there was this question (i say question for back of a better term right now) going around a few years ago asking that if you had the option to plug yourself into a machine that was able to make you live your best life with all the things you have ever wanted, all the people you have ever loved and no problems (again, keeping in mind that nothing there would actually happen outside of the reality fabricated by the computer), would you do it? the alternative was just living the life you already have.
i remember people saying that they wouldn't like to have the perfect life because they knew it wouldn't be real, and what is the point of having it because it wouldn't be real? naturally, there were people saying the opposite
but i never thought we would already be living that problem. would you rather have someone tell you everything you want to hear, let you see everything you want to see, teach you everything you want to learn so easily that even a five year old child would understand it, make everything for you, think for you so you don't ever need to lift a finger, or would you rather look up from your screen?
i beg you to look up.
