You'd think something as simple as someone whose job it is to help me find my own job wouldn't leave me screaming into a library's stuffed dinosaur in a corner of their bookstore, but yet.
If she were just simply a nag, that would be it. I can begrudgingly handle a nag. But she actively makes the job hunt more tedious and aggravating than it needs to be, she can't even keep her own rules straight, she is actively a hindrance to me trying to apply...
This week, I was supposed to be having an interview with Wegmans. This did not happen. It is not my fault. It's because she sent them the application under her email address, even though the first thing I had to do when I met her was give her mine. So they sent her the "thank you and schedule" email, so it should have been HER responsibility to schedule the interview, especially because it's her policy that she has to be there to supervise the interview, and she knows better than me what days work best for her. Because of that, I had to walk to the local Wegmans myself, talk to the associates there, ask them to give me another chance with the link, wait for the manager's phone call, get a new link, and, finally, I could apply to the store as a store associate. Boom. Was relieved to have solved the problem, but knew I was gonna get blamed for not scheduling an interview by today. Yep. MY JOB COACH WAS ACTUALLY UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS. She actually wanted me to apply for the stocker position, and she doesn't think I would be a good fit as a store associate for them. HOW THE FUCKING GODDAMN BITCH HELL WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT YOU APPLIED ME TO WHEN YOU DID IT UNDER YOUR ACCOUNT UNDER YOUR EMAIL!??!?!?!?!?!?! WHY DO YOU THINK IT'S UNREASONABLE THAT I'M PISSED OFF THAT THE INTERVIEW PROCESS HIT A TREE BECAUSE YOU SENT MY APPLICATION UNDER YOUR ACCOUNT AND BASICALLY TOLD THEM TO CONTACT YOU INSTEAD OF ME AND DIDN'T TELL ME ANY OF THIS AND STILL LEFT IT AS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO BOOK THE INTERVIEW?!
Oh, wait, then you DO want me to be a store associate for Sam's Club?!? WHICH IS IT. DO YOU WANT ME TO APPLY FOR STORE ASSOCIATE OR NOT.
By the way, shushing me when I'm just trying to read out the Wegmans job requirements to you? SHUSHING ME? WHEN I WAS ALREADY READING IT TO YOU AS QUIETLY AS I FUCKING COULD BECAUSE I KNOW WE'RE IN A LIBRARY, BUT I'M ALSO TRYING TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN HEAR ME, BECAUSE I KNOW YOU'RE HARD OF HEARING? AND YOU FUCKING SHUSH ME? WHEN I'M NOT TALKING ANY LOUDER THAN YOU ARE. YOU SHUSH ME. OKAY, FUCK YOU, I GUESS I'LL JUST FIGURE OUT SIGN LANGUAGE FOR NEXT TIME THEN.
Could've been interviewing to be a busser for Olive Garden by now instead-Yes, her outlooks for my future are bleak, but I will admit there's nobody to blame for but myself-but I wasn't even allowed to finish the application, because, apparently, I'm supposed to be filling out applications by myself like adults do, I'm supposed to disclose to them that I have a disability. She kept whining that we had to give up because "we can't erase any of thaaaat". Except we fucking could. It was a digital application. I could've gone back and changed whatever she wanted. The only reason I couldn't continue myself was that Olive Garden required me to do a tax credit survey, which might not have even been disability related, and needed my Access-VR case number, which I don't know. Rather than figure that out, she just fucking gave up. Then she basically said I have to be dishonest and never disclose to anyone that I have a disability. A+ role model.

She just fumbled with my phone and kept bitching about how she couldn't go back and erase the whole application. But then, when she's applying me for Sam's Club, she DOES mark that I have a disability. The thing she gave up on Olive Garden over, she just suddenly does and even tries to do super quietly and quickly so I don't notice?
WHICH IS IT, THEN, BONNIE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? DO I DISCLOSE THAT I HAVE A DISABILITY OR NOT.
And then Sam's Club asks for an assessment. I can't just click through it myself because it's my application and this is an assessment for me, no, Bonnie has to hold my hand and slowly read out every answer on the section. When I noticed the correct answer to one section was the correct one, she just looked at me and said "let me finish", then had the nerve to get angry with me when my patience is wearing thin? Scolds me that I can't be snippy with the customers? Hey, Bonnie, I fucking know I can't be snippy with the customers, believe it or not, I try not to be snippy with other people. I'm snippy with you because you are a major nag who keeps making this process more annoying than it needs to be, turning a five minute assessment into a fifteen minute one. You talk down to me like I'm a moron who can't figure out common workplace sense like "don't decide if someone else needs training, because you're not the manager and it's not your call". The way you interact with me, how can I not assume you have a low opinion of me and my intelligence. I'm 23 now, going on 24, so I'm kind of fucking over everyone I have to work with treating me like an idiot over being AuDHD. It's my application. This is about getting me a job. I have had it hammered into my brains for years that I have to grow up and start advocating for myself. Let me do the fucking assessment. Oh, no? I can't? We get to the personality section and you get to answer based off your perception of me? God damn.
So, the moment she leaves, I just grab the nearest soft object in the library and scream into it. I wanted a job so bad so I could have income again, now I want to just get a job so I hopefully don't have to put up with this kind of shit as much anymore...How bad could my next manager really be compared to this?
