2nd week of training for half marathon !
And I wanna share some simple things with you guys 😊
1. Sometimes life breaks you so much that no motivation works . You can see 2 choices , either break yourself more or try to get up . The decision you will take will shape your future . Choose wisely .
2. There has to be a mentor in your life if you want to improve . His/her presence doesn't needs to be necessarily physical . It's 21st century , world is going on changing . There is social media. You can watch the videos , listen to podcasts or read the books of your mentor .. and trust me , unless you try to bring the impact by yourself as said/written by mentor , there won't be improvement . There are helping hands , but at the end impact comes when we take the action .
- My mentor is Sir David Goggins . I listen to his podcast videos , currently reading to his famous book "can't hurt me" as well . And I can see the results, yeah they are small for now , but as I stay consistent I will see huge impact . He has helped me to push the limit of my mind . Earlier , I used to keep the distance target to achieve while running . But now I keep a minimum Target and no maximum limit . I try to push my mind as much as I can . And yeah that's not so hard once you complete 3km.
( Btw , I had heavy lunch today , so in the evening while running my stomach was paining alot 😭 but I didn't quit and kept running slowly and later it fade away and I increased my speed 🤠. Lesson - don't eat more than necessary before workout )
- One beautiful quote which helped me today is "Don't stop when you are tired. Stop when you are done"
- I don't really have much friends , I'm most of the time alone but what keeps me from not giving up is discipline .
There isn't any fun in this . It sucks . But the other side of life ( being comfortable ) sucks as well .
Today's Update :
7.5km run, took 55 mins . Average pace - 07:21
Goal - 21km run , within 6 hours . Required avg.pace - below 7:30 .
If you read this all , thank you so much 💐!! ✨ I really appreciate it. Gonna post some more blogs in future regarding motivation, running , productivity , fun , life , etc .
