There's a lot of bad stuff going on right now, and it's pretty hard to avoid it all. Just this morning I heard Canada passed a law that would limit free speech (Canadians, pls lmk if this is true), which I find devastating. There's flock cameras everywhere; there's one in my local Home Depot parking lot, and that's just the one I've noticed.
So, I've been finding it hard to stay positive when there's so much negativity going around.
I think websites like this one have definitely helped, because it allows me to distance myself from the real world, even for just a little while. I'm still on the search for more online experiences that don't cater to an algorithm that's only there to make you feel worse. It's frustrating that's what the internet has become.
Maybe this is a sign I should go on another social media cleanse; to be honest my mental health had never been as good as when I did that. I'll probably have more time to engage with my hobbies, so there might be some creative writing to look forward to on this blog!
I've you're also struggling, just know you aren't alone. Things really suck right now, and sometimes it's better to have a friend. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need one :)
