England is genuinely one of the most boring places to live sometimes. The weather can't make up its mind, so every day is just grey skies, random rain, and everyone pretending that 19°C is a heatwave. Every town feels like it has the exact same high street: a Greggs, a charity shop, three vape stores, and an abandoned building that's somehow been empty for ten years. The exciting events of the week are someone spotting a fox in Tesco's car park or the local Facebook group arguing about wheelie bins. We don't have huge mountains, tropical beaches, or dramatic scenery on every corner. Instead, it's endless estates, roundabouts, and roads covered in potholes. Even when you want to go somewhere fun, it's somehow expensive, overcrowded, or cancelled because of the rain. People always say England has "character," but sometimes that character is just waiting 20 minutes for a bus that never turns up while getting soaked through. I know every country has its flaws, but living here can feel like every day is exactly the same, and after a while it starts to feel like the world forgot to turn the colour up.

honestly i get it, i think the most fun i ever have is literally drinking in random parks. but to be honest i think its who you hang around and how you think, ive changed my perspective a lot by just going out- with no aim, usually no money and by myself, jus walking around having random enounters and browsing in random shops, it can be lots of fun!

19°C isn't a heatwave but close to 40°C is
which is amplified by the humidity we contend with for most of the year
thankfully, it's only a few times a year during the summer
also there is plenty of colour and character in any of the national parks
just saying :3
getting soaked in the rain waiting for unreliable public transport is very relatable tho, many such examples :o
