I kind of came back to learning it after abandoning the app I was using to study after like, 2 weeks. So now, I'm just repeating words in Japanese until I can remember them! I listen to common Japanese phrases to sleep to whenever I go to bed so I can practice them. OH and I'm planning on going to Japan next year with my family as well so might as well get a head start but we don't have passports yet so we still aren't certain if we're gonna go yet. Anyways, if anybody knows any Japanese learning tips please let me know! That's it, bye!

I started learning again as well about 3 Months back. What App do you use for Learning?
What worked for me is an App called MemRise as well as Creating Cards with Anki to memorise what I learned. But just learning the Vocabulary didnt really help me because I couldnt form any sentences so I picked up a book called Genki. Its most commonly used at Universities but it works pretty well for me. I take the vocabulary and what I learn from that book and make into Anki cards so I can memorise what the book is teaching.
From what it sounds like you are only learning words, but I really recommend learning the Hiragana and Katakana alphabets before learning words and sentences because you'll probably run into problems sooner or later without it.
It also helped me alot to learn about the grammar as well, since the structure of sentences seemed kinda random for me at points. There's probably some websites in English that summarise the grammar.
The most important thing is just to not lose motivation :)
Thanks for the advice! Personally, I'm more of a audible learner, that's why most of the apps I tried weren't helping me since everything was just words. But I will definitely try Hirigana and Katakana out!

I get that but definitly look at grammar as well, if you havent already. It helps alot when listening. Particles like か (ka), の (no) or は (wa) are used almost everywhere and are essential when understanding the language from my experience.
Have fun learning! :D
