so earlier today my parents came into my room to tell me that one of our family members met one of my classmates and they started talking and my classmate corrected my family member on my name. my family knows i'm "plagued by delusion" but they've never been supportive of me or my older brother who is also trans.
my parents started telling me that they aren't going to play this game. my mom said she thinks i'm ugly and my name is better suited for a dog and made me repeat affirmations of being a girl who has 0 feelings of being transgender. she then said "if you're going to follow in your sister's footsteps, then you should just leave now because we aren't putting up with it." meaning that if i continue to just... be trans, then i'll be out of a home.
i don't know what i'm supposed to do. i'm 17, unemployed, and i have $30 to my name. i don't want to be homeless during my last year of high school, but i also don't think i can let myself detransition for safety because i would be putting my mental health at a severe risk. i'm scared. i can't believe it's easier for a parent to not have a child at all than a transgender one.

hhholy shit dude. im so sorry. no kid deserves this shit trans gay whatever. that is so fucked up.
the best things i can tell you to do are prepare a go bag with essentials youd need if you were kicked out, be prepared to be out for a bit just in case. any money you have keep it in a safe hidden place. DO NOT ALLOW them to access your bank info if you have any and do not share your plans with them.
in a go bag you need some form of communication device, like a phone. if it doesnt have data make sure it can connect to wifi and call 911. if it cant i suggest bringing whatever youre on right now. if you have one, bring a battery pack.
first aid kid of some sort. if you need to, look up how to put your own together.
you need 72 hours' worth of food and water. canned foods, vacuum sealed foods, or other things, work. you just need to pack the essentials. a few water bottles, preferably a reusable one too.
3 changes of clothes and extra undergarments.
any hygiene products you can gather. toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, deodorant, brush, bandages, anything else you use. preferably some soap as well, a bar in a sealed bag.
if you can fit it, add things you care about. maybe things to do.
medicine, if you take any.
flashlight.
a blanket if itll fit.
you can look up the best ways to pack things tightly, or i can try to give some examples if you need.
this bag will be big and you may have to hide it if you do wind up making it. i hope that they dont do this and im so sorry you even have to think about this.
oh dude i hadn't even thought about this at all so thank you. i do have a car, i'll think about keeping some essential stuff in there. luckily in the worst case that i am kicked out i have 2 immediate places to go that i know i can stay at 🙏 i will definitely do this and think about exactly what i need with me

I'm so sorry you have to go through this, parents like this don't deserve children, you shouldn't have kids if you can't handle them being exactly what you want them to be. I hope you survive this hell.
