Guys what are your takes on predator catching? I see a lot of people say it’s bad because they’re “setting them up” but the people they catch are under the impression it’s a real minor so how are they setting them up. It would be like they were talking to an actual one, grooming and violating?? I do understand some of the ways a few creators go about it is intense or maybe breaking the law but the ones that follow the law shouldn’t have to go through any public scrutiny?? Don’t be a pred protector

Not personally a fan. Preds suck really bad, but the grand majority of pred catchers are only doing so for clout. They couldn't give two dips about minors. To them, all that matters is attention and that sweet sweet ad revenue. All they do is harass or attack someone. Without calling the cops or getting legal parties involved, they're just taking advantage of the victims. Especially since all the money is going into their pockets and not to organizations or victims.
Plus, some have actually scammed people into being perceived as preds. For example, Vitaly ZDTV on Kick did just this. He accused a very confused person who was trying to hook up with someone he thought was a legal adult, only for him to be harassed and even doxxed. No, he was not made aware that the "bait" was supposedly a minor. This was added after he already arrived. This tends to be a somewhat common tactic for this new wave of pred catchers.
Basically, these are clout chasing and gaining an advantaged with good deed coloured paint.

i feel like modern pred catchers that just beat up preds and dont call the cops aren't stopping preds at all. like, yea you beat them up but thats not stopping them. bring back calling the cops.
I'd say much better.... Beat them up real bad then call the cops.

I personally love pred catchers. Like, yeah, sometimes they get a bit extreme- and they may not be going the legal route. But I think that’s necessary honestly. There’s nothing that gets under the skin like knowing some creep thinks they can just get away with praying on innocent people. Pred catchers act as a reminder that they can’t. I say they’re good
