Roller coaster blog

List of every roller coaster I've been on and where I rode them

I rode all eleven roller coasters at Lagoon in Farmington, Utah (Last went in July 2025, first went sometime around 2015 - 2016, went five times)

Puff the little fire dragon, Roller coaster, Wild mouse, Spider, Colossus the fire dragon, Wicked, Jet star II, Cannibal, The Bat, Bombora, and Primordial

My favorite: Colossus the fire dragon

Reason: It has an out of control feeling and it can be pretty intense in the inversions and helixes with how they're profiled. It's a classic roller coaster that holds up well, and it matches its name.

My least favorite: Jet star II

Reason: I don't hate it, but I don't think it aged nearly as well as the other from the same manufacturer. The ride feels out of control but not in the most fun way, and the trains are pretty awkward.

I rode all three roller coasters at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Washington (Last went in September 2024, I don't know when I first went, went four times)

Classic coaster, Wildcat, Crazy coaster

My favorite: Classic coaster

Reason: I like the extremely minimal buzz bar restraints and the older wooden coaster feeling. Plus, riding near the back can easily give some terrifying airtime, it did for me.

It's also just a cool novelty to have a permanent wooden roller coaster at a fair, not something you see all the time.

My least favorite: Wildcat

Reason: It's a simple and fun portable ride that has been there for every visit, it's got that classic pinfari feel, but I don't think it's quite up there with the other two.

I rode three roller coasters at Wild Waves in Federal Way, Washington (Last went in July 2024, went three times)

Wild Thing, Timberhawk, Kiddie coaster

My favorite: Timberhawk

Reason: The ride experience is much better than the other two coasters at this park I got to ride and I've gotten some good airtime on the first drop.

My least favorite: Kiddie coaster

Reason: It's just a kiddie coaster, they're fun too but I can't say much about it, this one wasn't even named. Or I guess that is the name.

Side note: This entire park is unfortunately closing by the end of this season and it's unknown if any roller coasters will be getting relocated.

I rode eight out of fifteen roller coasters at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio (Last went in august 2023, went once)

Raptor, Valravn, Rougarou, Gatekeeper, Millenium force, Maverick, Steel Vengeance, Blue streak

My favorite: MaverickĀ

Reason: The ride is relentless and aggressive, it has a strong sense of speed with its low to the ground elements, and it feels powerful from start to end.

My least favorite: Blue streak

Reason: I thought it was really rough and just didn't do much, it didn't have anything going for it.

Side note: I need to take another visit to this park really badly with all of their new additions and the rides I missed out on, it's a huge place.

25 roller coasters in total

My favorite roller coaster I've ever ridden: Maverick

Reason: The ride is relentless and aggressive, it has a strong sense of speed with its low to the ground elements, and it feels powerful from start to end.

My least favorite roller coaster I've ever ridden: Blue streak

Reason: I thought it was really rough and just didn't do much, it didn't have anything going for it.
