"Cringe" And It's Impact On How We Enjoy Things

Cringe has been a word that's been thrown around for decades at this point. It's used in so many different ways. It can be used to describe a feeling you have when looking back on things you did when you were younger. It just gives you the chills in a sense, but one way I see it used is to demoralize people for just enjoying life and used in a derogatory way.

People should be allowed to life their life, enjoy themselves and be themselves without fearing of being too "cringe". It's like this unwritten law in society that once you get to a certain age you can't enjoy the things you did when you were younger. The way you dress, the music you like, the games you play, the jokes you make.

As long as you are happy and enjoy what you are doing without bringing harm to another person than feel free to be "cringe" all you want. Revisit your inner child and remember why you loved those things in the first place, and it might spark something new in you.

Don't be afraid to live <3

Exactly! Cringe but free is the ultimate goalΒ

No but really, people can be so judgemental about things that dont affect them literally in any way whatsoever πŸ˜’Β Β

Couldn't have said it better meself.

I definitely remember cringe culture of the 2000s and early 2010s. It was sad. People making fun of kids/teens for enjoying something a bit different. It made people afraid to like things because of what society would think of them. I was indeed one of those living in fear of being "cringe." I would have had my scene/emo phase a lot sooner had I not lived in fear of being bullied more.

As long as your interests aren't 1. hurting anyone 2. illegal 3.forcing morals onto others or 4. purposfully spreading misinformation, go nuts. Who cares if you're cringe?

100% agree! that's actually part of the reason i joined this site. i was a "weird kid" that got laughed at/bullied for being "cringe" growing up, so eventually i learned to hide myself and now i feel like i've been hiding so long i've forgotten how to truly express myself or rly connect with myself/my inner child. i felt like this was the perfect community to come and relearn how to be unapologetically myself and wear my weird kid badge with pride :D i want to live!

Wow same here Dizmal! Thats really awesome for you and I totally vibed with thatΒ

To be cringe is to be free. To be bad at something is to be free.

I couldn't have said it better myself

Amazing blog πŸ˜πŸ’• 100% agree!Β As long as it doesn't harm others, it shouldn't concern anyone.Β But it is sad that not everyone understands this.
