I think, and forgive me if I’m wrong, but the internet has killed decorum and etiquette in people..
I heavily dislike the “I don’t own anyone shit” mindset. I’ve always liked to be a helper and thought everyone else would be a helping hand too!
in smaller sites such as I find people more human and humane, but in bigger sites people feel no shame commenting the meanest most horrid things to a small artist, or a neurodivergent kid. it’s horrible and always fills me with this disgusted feeling.
I think it’s always nice to be reminded, you don’t have to voice your opinion on everything you don’t like if it isn’t hurting anyone. if you see an ugly dress, or a bad drawing, or a behavior you dislike it’s imperative you keep such thoughts to yourself. we are not our ideas! we are our actions!
it’s also good to remind ourselves that humans are not as smart or as thoughtful as we believe ourselves to be, even off the internet you can catch yourself in a rage. If someone cuts you off on the road maybe they have somewhere important to be, a race against the clock. If they are too slow maybe there is a man minding his pregnant wife. if someone is rude in a short moment in your day maybe this is a terrible day for them. we’re all small worlds and full lives colliding for a moment.
this is nothing ground breaking, this is but a small reminder, choose to be kind and sweet! choose to be human :)

This is very well written and I absolutely agree with you on this one. :)
So far this website is quite pretty chill and there are many chill people here like you and quite civilised which is one of the reasons why I absolutely enjoy it here aside it's Mid 2000's - Late 2000's Internet Aesthetic and Vibes.
But yeah, it's so much better if we'd be just chill and just cool off.
thank you! manners are important, I hate to sound like a little old lady but people should be minding their manners! say please and thank you, don’t eat from a plate that isn’t yours without asking, be nice! it’s hard but also easy. maintaining a kind tone in bad days is challenging but doable!

"I hate to sound like a little old lady"
It's not really bad, what you're saying is actually true and helpful and something people always need to get reminded of and what we really needed..
Being chill and friendly is definitely gonna pay off and worth it not only for you and your self improvement but also for everyone.
