I hate making friends online and irl. I always perceive the tiniest amount of kindness as something more when I know I was never that deep, and when I do make friends i always either push them away or catch feeling. Why am I like this?

This is most likely happening because you don't have many close friends. I used to be exactly the same. Every tiny bit of attention or kindness had to mean something more in my head; it couldn't possibly just be someone wanting to be a good friend.
The only thing that really helped me was making a conscious effort to stay in those friendships, even when they made me uncomfortable or my brain started overthinking everything. As difficult as it sounds, sometimes we have to actively push back against our own thought patterns if we want them to change. It takes time, and it definitely isn't easy, but it does get better with practice.
I really hope things get better for you soon. Good luck, OP.
