like, it was legitimately insane. he immediately was like "yeah, i use ivermectin for my chronic fatigue syndrome" HUH???? ivermectin is an anti-parasitic drug???? if someone tells me they use ivermectin for anything but it's intended use, i'm going to automatically assume you're an antivaxxer.
it's giving "during 2020 lockdown i hoarded hydroxychloroquine"
he also told me i can heal my GENETIC DISABILITY with HERBS. BRUH WHAT???? i blocked him so quick
in america the average reading level is that of a 5th grader and people like this really highlight that fact.

The amount of medical misinformation on the internet is genuinely insane, and something that is rarely discussed. Awhile back I joined an online form regarding a disorder I have, and was confused when most discussions were either revolving around a comorbid disorder, or an unrelated symptom entirely. Later a pole was made revolving around the percentage of those self diagnosed opposed to clinically diagnosed, little to none had been diagnosed by a professional. It then made sense that the discussions had little correlation to my experiences.
More recently a doctor on Tiktok was telling his audience that the Hantavirus is a low public risk, and a questionable amount of people in the comment section were trying to rebutting his statement.
People need to accept that they are ignorant on most topic's and to rely on information provided by people with years of expertise and education. Not everything needs to be debated, some things are just proven to be the way they are. Glad to hear that you blocked them, those kinds of people can be a real pest to deal with!

OMG those kind of people are THE WORST!!!! Ivermectin is literally an anti parasitic drug used for treating heartworm. While it can be taken by humans, its use is super limited. It has not been shown to be affective as a treatment for COVID-19 and especially ME/CFS. Good thing you blocked them.
