i cannot think about death for too long because it freaks me out but i think i have two main ideas of what happens when we die.
idea number 1:
this idea makes me feel less scared about death. i think that when we die we can become and we can do literally whatever we want. i think we can go wherever we want and whatever we choose to do/be/go we can do it for as long as we please until one day if we get bored we can decide to disappear forever. like for example if you wanted to reincarnate, you could do that, and you could choose whether you wanted to be a person again, or maybe an animal, or any living creature on earth, etc. if you wanted to come back to earth and be a ghost, you could do that, if you wanted to be just a beam of light/energy, you could do that. if you wanted to you could be like a rock or a spoon or a blanket or idk a chair literally anything at all. you want to go live in outer space? you can do that!
idea number 2:
this idea is what makes the most logical sense in my head but freaks me out more. i think when we die its like being asleep without dreaming. like i think it feels like what it felt like to be not born yet if that makes sense. like try to imagine your own life before you were born, theres nothing because you didnt exist yet.
idk death is weird
bye bye 𖦹

Even though I strongly believe in multiple lives and reincarnation, I think that what happens to you after death ultimately depends on the kind of person you were in life. If you managed to be a “good” person —which opens up an entirely different question in itself, because how can we actually know whether we are being good people? Who can guarantee that our personal understanding of what it means to “be good” is actually the correct one?— then, assuming we could somehow arrive at a universal definition of good and evil, you get to reincarnate into whatever you want. A human, an animal, a fungus, a plant, or maybe even something we don’t have a word for yet.
But if you were a “bad” person, then that’s it. You die, and there are no other lives waiting for you. There’s no punishment, no hell, no second chance; nothing. You simply get "switched off", like someone disconnecting a machine, and you stop existing forever.

me personally, i believe in reincarnation. you can be reincarnated as anything, human, bug, cat, alien, whatever... but i have also thought about your first idea in the past, and although i believe in reincarnation as i think there always needs to be a consciousness, i hope for the idea that you can do anything, sort of like one big lucid dream.

Hmm, yeah but it's inevitable anyway and we'd unfortunately go there down the line.
But yeah.... I don't know.
