So as of around a few weeks ago a dude I was friends with, well more like a dude I knew hung himself and he wasn't found until 10-15 minutes of hanging, and while he is still currently alive the doctors don't think he will survive and on the small chance he does survive he'll be in a coma for most likely the rest of his life, and on the extremely small chance he both survives and isn't stuck in a coma he will have to deal with permanent disabilities which could range from blindness to issues moving to just cognitive function in general.
and the thing is I don't feel bad about his death, nor do I feel bad for his girlfriend (who is a close friend to me), I feel more worried if anything when it comes down to it, I'm worried whether or not she's alright, because I really don't want her to do something extreme. looping back to the thing I said about me not feeling bad, I've always struggled with emotional empathy/I lack it and I think for the reason that I'm not sad about his death it's because I was never really that close to him.
but if you read to the end thanks for listening to me rant
