I’m so disappointed and angry right now I'm genuinely so tired of anti-black bigots ruining online spaces for black people.
Recently a under-ground artist named Slayr has gotten micro aggressive and borderline racist comments under his song, those people just happen too be Vocaloid fans (He used the song bird brain as a sample in his song.) I’m honestly tired of it, I’ve been a Vocaloid fan since during covid times, I hold the fandom dearly to my heart.
The fandom has been going worse and worse since mesmerizer and it’s sad, Vocaloid itself (And pop culture itself) wouldn’t haven’t exist without the culture of Black people. This breaks my heart, as a black teen who is in fandom spaces and has shaped themselves as a person its just sad.
I don’t want Vocaloid too be known as a space for racism, loli/shota content none of it, I love Vocaloid, I love the art music and impact it has made over the years, I can’t let it go cause of people who don’t care for it and the people who helped and shaped it.
Support black Vocaloid producers, voice-banks, artists, schools, children, families every black person, speak out for black rights, freedom, help every minority struggling in this hellish country of "freedom", all my heart goes out to Slayr and all the other black fandom creators harassed by these shit-heads.

Same here :( taking a break from the fandom itself seems like the best option right now, this whole situation is unacceptable and disgusting.

the entire Slayr propaganda is so demoralizing to hear about, because it's just both sides mindlessly hating one another, one thing is not liking the song, but hating on the people that do is so unnecessary, even hating on Slayr too; God forbid a POC have whimsy? it's all internalized racism at the root, from both sides
Yesss!! Not liking the song and saying it’s not your taste is completely cool, calling it “Burger Music” is an another thing, but full on hating and harassing him is not!!
I’ve don’t recall seeing any stuff that is doing that behavior towards Slayr but it’s still not better to do stuff like that!
I’m honestly just hoping that Slayr and Jamie-p (creator of the “Bird Brain” sample) won’t give up on their passion for music!
